A great recognition for British pig farming excellence - congratulations to Mike Durrant of Bunns Farm, Norfolk, who has been named Pig Farmer of the Year at the Farmers Weekly Awards marking the second year that a Pilgrim’s Europe farmer has picked up the top award.

Running a 927-head outdoor sow unit, Mike is leading the way with smart use of technology and new techniques that cut environmental impact and strengthen long-term sustainability.

We were pleased to sponsor this independently judged category and join colleagues from across the industry, including the AHDB - Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board and National Pig Association, to celebrate farming at its best.

Backing British farming is at the heart of our business. All our fresh chicken, pork and lamb is sourced exclusively from British farms, and we work in true partnership with producers to build resilient supply chains and support rural livelihoods nationwide.
