Pilgrim’s Europe has launched a new Legacy Fund to support charities and community organisations across the areas where its people live and work.
Charities and community organisations in and around Pilgrim’s sites can now apply for up to £5,000 to support a project that will make a meaningful and lasting difference locally.
The fund is open to registered charities, community organisations, not-for-profit groups, Community Amateur Sports Clubs, educational and training institutions, cultural and environmental organisations, and social enterprises with a clear community benefit.
It will support a broad range of causes, including community and voluntary projects and educational, cultural, environmental and youth-focused initiatives.
The Legacy Fund builds on Pilgrim’s Europe’s wider commitment to supporting the communities surrounding its sites. Throughout the year, colleagues across the business volunteer their time, raise money and support a wide range of local causes, alongside the company’s established charity partnerships with FareShare, GroceryAid and Ronald McDonald House UK.
Kirsty Wilkins, Chief People Officer at Pilgrim’s Europe, said: “We want our Legacy Fund to support organisations that understand the needs of their area and who are working to make a genuine difference in the communities where our colleagues live across the country.
